Dare County and the College of the Albemarle (COA) are working together to provide an educational opportunity that is truly amazing. Dare County is setting the stage as the first and only County in the State of North Carolina to support a free education to attend a community college.
The Dare County Board of Commissioners pledged $250,000 to the Dare Guarantee Scholarship Program, which provides graduating Dare County Seniors enrolling full-time at COA free monies to be used for tuition and fees not covered by financial aid and other scholarships. Funds are based on availability and may also be used to cover costs for textbooks and computer needs.
Over 100 Dare County High School students were awarded monies from the Dare Guarantee Scholarship program this past year. Join COA for Dare Guarantee Week and learn more about the program and how to apply today on the COA website here!
